Winter Season Days FAQ

Enrollment Services last day will be Friday, December 20, 2024 before closure for Winter Season Days. The office will reopen on Thursday, January 2, 2025. During the Winter Season Day closure, feel free to review the frequently asked questions below.

Students are always advised to review and complete any outstanding items on their Catalyst "Tasks" tile and check their UC student email daily. Catalyst remains available during winter season days.

Check your Catalyst "Tasks" tile for items to complete and your UC email account to make sure you have done everything you need to do.

Full session spring courses begin on Monday, January 13. Spring Semester 2025 academic calendars for undergraduate and graduate students and classes can be found on the Registrar Office website. Refer to your class schedule in Catalyst for specifics on the courses for which you are registered.

There are many reasons why a student may not be able to add a spring course. You can find answers to many registration related questions, including Catalyst error messages and how to resolve them, on the Office of the Registrar website.

Spring 2025 semester bills are due five days before the semester begins. For classes that begin on Monday, January 13, the bill due date is Wednesday, January 8.

If you are enrolled in direct deposit and your refund is coming from financial aid, your refund will process one business day after a credit balance is created. You will then see the funds in your bank account in 3 to 5 days. If you are expecting a refund from financial aid, please ensure that you have met all financial aid eligibility requirements.

If you are enrolled in direct deposit and your refund is coming from a personal payment, the funds will be held for 14 days from the date the payment was made. Excess credits from this payment type are not refunded until after the 15th day of the semester.

If you are not enrolled in direct deposit, Title IV funds will be refunded via paper check to the mailing address we have on file for you in Catalyst once a week (typically Thursdays).  Refunds via paper check do not begin 10 days before the term starts, rather, that process starts the first week of each term.  If the funds are not Title IV, the credit balance will stay on the account until direct deposit enrollment is completed.

Students reviewed for academic progress for financial aid at the end of fall term were notified as soon as grades were final. To give assistance, we have outlined guidance to follow while UC offices are closed for winter season days.

Check out the What Happens After Commencement page for more details. Students will receive an email at their UC email account with confirmation of degree certification.

Visiting students should follow the registration steps for visiting students. During the winter season day closure, this process will be delayed. Please allow ample time for processing after offices reopen on Thursday, January 2.

Check that you have submitted the required Selective Service UC form if you received notification to complete it. Otherwise, review residency criteria and apply for residency updates on the Office of the Registrar website.
