Transition Students
- File the 2024-2025 FAFSA. Set yourself up for success, as limited aid sources run out quickly. Ensure University of Cincinnati (003125) is added.
- Search for scholarships using the Scholarship Search tile in Catalyst about 6 months in advance.
- There are Transition Scholarships that may be available.
- Review your student loan borrowing history. Compare this to the Lifetime Aggregate Federal Loan Limits to ensure you have enough aid to finish your degree.
- Review the cost differences in tuition and fees between your current program and the program you plan to transition to.
- Check your To Do List in Catalyst and complete any listed tasks.
- Create your financial aid portal account, if requested. You may be required in order to submit financial aid documentation to complete financial aid verification.
- Accept your financial aid in Catalyst using the Accept/Decline Financial Aid link in the My Finances tile.
- Review options for covering remaining or out-of-pocket costs.
- Check your student bill in Catalyst regularly and review due dates and payment options
- Waive university health insurance via Catalyst if you have other coverage.
- Review your residency status via the My Profile tile in Catalyst and submit residency application if necessary.
- Check your UC student email account regularly.
- Plan Ahead: Pay attention to important dates and deadlines each semester.
- Contact Enrollment Services with billing, financial aid and registration questions.
