Scholarships are funds that do not have to be paid back and are typically awarded based on academic achievement or other criteria. There are two different types of scholarships: internal University of Cincinnati scholarships and external scholarships.

Scholarship Kahoot Night: November 14, 2019

To celebrate National Scholarship Month, the Uptown One Stop Student Service Center and the Money Management Task Force have partnered with UC Student Government for a “Kahoot” Night in the Mainstreet Cinema. Stop by on Thursday, November 14 from 5-7 PM to play Kahoot and learn more about scholarships, financial aid and financial literacy. Prizes for participation.

  • Remember, there are plenty available, so check these sources often.
  • Your local community can be a vital resource. Check with community organizations and foundations.
  • Treat applying for scholarships like a job and prepare before applying. The Learning Commons can assist with essays or resumes.

How to Submit an External Scholarship Check

Student's name and UCID must be included on the check. The Scholarship Check Processing Form can be submitted with the check, but is not required.

Scholarship checks can be submitted in-person to the One Stop Center, located on the 2nd floor of University Pavilion or mailed directly to the address below:

Scholarship checks made payable to UC (or to the student and UC), must be applied to the student's bill. The university cannot sign the scholarship check over to the student.
