Why was I charged a ____ fee? What does this fee cover? 

Tuition and fees at the University of Cincinnati are reviewed and set by the Board of Trustees each spring for the upcoming year.  In additional, some UC colleges or majors have individual fees that are assessed only to their students

I do not live on campus. Can the Campus Life Fee be waived? 

The Campus Life Fee  is a required tuition fee and cannot be waived.  

I was charged for health insurance. How do I waive this fee? 

Students with qualifying healhcare plans can waive the Student Health Insurance fee online.  For additional information and waiver deadlines, please visit here.  

Note: The Student Health Insurance fee must be waived annually.

What is the fee differential I see on my bill? 

The Campus Differential Tuition fee required fee applies to any full-time branch campus (Clermont or Blue Ash) student who takes 50% or more of their classes offered by a main campus (Clifton/Uptown) college regardless of class location. 

How can I have the late fee that I was charged waived? 

Late payment fee waivers will only be considered on a case-by-case basis using strict guidelines. The Late Payment Interest charge is non-refundable and not eligible for waiving or refunding.

Am I able to access the Campus Recreation Center? 

Access to Campus Recreation facilities and programs are not automatic for all students.  Click here for important information regarding student membership to the campus recreation centers.


How can I give my parents access to my bill? 

Parents and other third parties can gain access to your bill via the Parent Portal.  Click here for instructions on setting up access.

When is last day I can pay my bill and avoid being charged a late fee? 

Bill payments are due approximately 5 days prior to the start of a term.  To avoid late payment fees, it is recommended that your bill is paid by the published due date.  Late payment fees are assessed on the last day of every month starting the month in which the term begins. 

How long will it take for my online payment to appear on my bill? 

Online payments post to the student bill within 24 hours after the payment is successfully submitted.

I’m receiving monies from an outside agency, and I won’t receive the funds by the bill due date. What can I do to avoid a late fee? 

Students are responsible for ensuring their bill is paid in full by the due date.  If funds from an external sponsor will not be submitted by the due date, we recommend that you pay the balance in full.  A refund will be issued for any resulting credit balance on the account when the external funds are received.  

I don’t have enough money to pay all of my bill by the due date. What are my payment options? 

 UC offers payment plan options through Educational Computer Services, Inc (ECSI) for parties wishing to pay their semester bill in installments.  For additional information and instructions, click here

I have a past due balance? How do I make arrangements to pay? 

  • Is your balance is from a previous term?
  • Is your balance is for the current term?


Why am I blocked from registering for classes or getting a transcript? 

You can locate the reason and contact information regarding your service block by viewing your bill.

Note: The reason for your service block must be resolved in order to have the the service block(s) lifted.

I’ve paid my past due bill in full today. How soon will the service blocks be removed from my bill? 

Once the payment has posted to your account, the service block(s) will be removed within 24-48 hours.
